International Women's Day - Thank Those Who Make A Difference – Juliana Frances

International Women's Day

Perhaps one of the most important international holidays, International Women's Day is held annually on the 8th of March. Also known as The Mothers’ Day in some parts of the world, the International Women's Day is an amazing opportunity to praise all the women in the world, women throughout history who’ve changed the world for the better and express your love and gratitude for all the women in your life.

If you’re too a woman, today is the day to express your gratitude and appreciation towards yourself and the nourishing feminine energy in you.

How International Women's Day Began?

It was a brave woman’s idea, Clara Zetkin, the leader of the Women’s Office for the Social Democratic Party in Germany. In 1910 she proposed this idea at 2nd International Conference of Working Women in Copenhagen. Hence, since 1911, the world celebrates International Women's Day in March. The first-ever International Women's Day event in Australia was held in 1928 in the city of Sydney and it was organized by The Militant Women’s Movement. They fought for basic women’s rights in the workplace.

The International Women's Day Today

These days, this annual holiday is so huge, that it is celebrated all over the world. Children offer flowers and gifts to their mothers and teachers, husbands celebrate their wives and mothers and women complement and congratulate each other.

The Battle for Equality

For centuries, women have fought an unequal battle, in which the rules have been established by the strong sex, men. Well, this is what a lot of women believe, that’s why the gender equality battle is so fierce these days. But there’s always a downside of too much fighting.

That is bitterness; hatred and frustration build up in women and taking it out on our fellow men. As women, we are of a different nature, of a different kind than men and our loss is when we choose to prove our point with more violence, more hate, and a bitter heart.

Women have the greatest power in the universe, and that is the power of love. If we want to make this world a better and more loving place for everyone in it, this is the “weapon” that we need to use.

Love is always the answer, and today more than ever, I want to say that I love you from the bottom of my heart!
